This question can't generally be answered cause depending of your needs ( inputs/outputs number) your budget, your computer , Mac PC, usb, firewire ?
you use, live input? many VSt/VSTi ? and so..

Hi Nay, thanks for picking my question:
I have a MacBook Pro 15inch i7-16Gb Ram- Ssd- thunderbolt 2/usb3
I use many vst and vsti, examples:
Instrument(analog input)-> guitar pro-> reverbs
Instrument (analog input) -> jam origin-> vsti & in parallel reverbs or the chain above described
Or
midi input-> vsti->vst(reverbs etc..)
192Khz interface is a obligated choice?
I'm not an expert so I don't know if usb3 has difference to the thunderbolt.
Thx

I trust RME, excellent gear for the price, drivers are stable and up to date even for old cards. USB 2 is enough for audio (I'm managing 16 tracks in/out in live situation and have no audible latency).
