Hi,

I want to send different midi clock tempos to different devices outputs (e.g. 100 bpm sent to Ableton, 80 bpm sent to midi hardware)

I tried to go through the local sync module, but I can't seem to find how to do that.
I know it WAS possible, but is it still possible with the send midi clock built into the device ?

thanx !

(The idea is to trick stupid guitar pedals that only admits 4/4 so that they can sync 5 beats loops to the nominal tempo of the track by sending an adjusted tempo such as 4/5 the nominal tempo)

i was wondering the same thing. I'd really like to have the ability similar to a modular clock divider.
I don't think you can now, as it's hard coded into the device. maybe options can be available or exposed to do this?

damned...

would any shortcut be possible by using different output devices in different devices, then desengaging midi clock sync but sending some clock info more "manually" (by creating midi messages) to the devices that should be synchronized to a tempo that is not the master tempo ?
I see that we can create "timing clock" messages in "create midi message", but I don't get how it should work..

So you can look at the midi specification.
Regarding timing clocks, the only thing I think in this situation without the ability to "touch" the main clock is send more clocks thus speeding up your external devices. Typically in DAW there is never much capability to divide/multiple clocks like there should be. That's one thing I love about modular synthesizers is breaking out the MIDI clock and sending to many different speed clocks.

I think that you might be out of luck until we can get hands on with the midi clock. Hopefully even then it will not break performance...once upon a time I used to have issues....but soooo much more stable for me as we progressed.
