You can do a save workspace and then you can navigate where you want to store it.
Just drag and drop to open, or you will see the workspaces on the startup Recents.

thank you,
so it means all the information regarding setup, plugins and so on are stored in the preset itself?
Can I completely delete the folder containing the older version and keep just the latest one?

[ edit ]
it looks like audio settings are not saved in preset.
Audio card and general configuration have to be redone.
however, I'm still missing something here. Everything looks like it's fine, I can see audio input in the top meter but it there's no audio is coming in from the channel where it's supposed to.
The same workspace runs just fine in the previous build.

Hello Luca,

When you save your workspace, you save everything excepted two things :
- the devices (audio in/out, midi in/out, video in/out ...)
- the general configurations

For backup, you can choose "export workspace", you will make a copy of your project, and have the possibility to add audio files. Then you can save your devices and recall them later with the workspace.

The general configurations change rarely. So, no need to save them with the workspace, and it could be very dangerous in live situation.

So, how do I save these settings?

When I update HH to a new version I copy the entire config folder to the new directory. This contains all settings, devices and any user modules that I have downloaded.

When you update Usine, you can also use the import old settings button in the setup/global tab

inside the package of the .app (right click+ show content of the package).
Then in the folder /Config/ or /contents/Config/ in newest versions
