hi hollyhockers
although i'm yet still on hh2, i need some help for a patch ( so, please excuse me if the solution exists on hh3 ) :
-i'd like to know if there's a way to make a sampler (or any file reader) to load by itself all the files contained in a folder if i only choose /write a path.
and of course it will have to re-do it at each new opening session, for the contain of the folders may have changed in the meantime.
( I've already posted this problem in the french section, but i'm a bit in a hurry to accomplish my patch, so i try it in english. I hope it's not downright forbidden!)

Thanks sephult,
That would greatly help me.
Now that we have a great tool like hh to proceed almost anything we 've dream, the big new challenge for me is to make it able to select informations by itself to gain a lot of time.

File Directory

Hi Ringmod!

So quick patch, shows you can use the file lister and specify the file extension. Here you can modify how you want.
I just made it use an open dialog and select one file in a directory. It refreshes and displays all files via the comma text...these are then pushed into a List Manager...

Well, i've downloaded the patch, but it seems to be empty when i open it. I'm yet still on hh2 upd7 1.02.011d. Maybe already too old ?

just use a file lister, connect it to your sampler module via the list comma text input

yes, and this is how i use the file lister until now. I'll be more precise :
-i'd like to be able to choose between différent file lister ( no problem with a selector) , all named for example with a number of bpm ( 120, 95, ..) and by the act of choosing (everything is programmated until there) , to make it load all alone all the files contained in the corresponding folder, which will contain all my loops with the appropriate tempo ( folder that could be updated frequently).
In fact, i want to avoid to have to :
1-choose the good file lister myself
2- open the file lister myself
3- and load it manually.
the last opération is the main problem. can hh interact "dynamicaly" with the browser ? (load-erase-). is there a module or a script for this ?

Ok. I think i'll really have to try hh3 now.
i've tried what i've could and made my way with file's list and selectors.
Thanks for your patch, anyway, and i'll keep it to try it as soon as it will work.
For the subject of a "patchable file manager", it should maybe go in the suggestions section.
