preset dafe not working properly for plugins?

Can anyone else confirm this behaviour? I have tested on numerous plugins and they all fail to smoothly fade.

load plugin, assign faders or create an array, create a few presets, drag presets to grid, set fade duration of each one.

When triggered by the grid in a fraction of a second the presets appear to quickly jump to the desired setting, immediately skip back, and then start the fade to the new preset, creating an audio glitch in the process.

latest version, Mac OS.

thanks, turns out it was probably an issue with the plug in. I got round it by assigning faders to every parameter I was using and turning off "saved in preset option" on the plugin. It was triggering the plugin preset, then executing the parameters fade.
