Hey!
I'm using GROOVE Steps in a patch, and I'd like to assign a different audio output for each sample, so that I could process separately let's say a bass drum from a snare etc..
I'm trying to understand what would be the smartest way to do it. My strategy would be to use the 'file number' output from the Grain Sampler, and use that value to open an output pair in a Matrix Audio object. However, I'm wondering if there's a better approach to achieve that.
Thanks for any suggestion!
Add outputs to GROOVE Steps / Grain sampler
could also use maybe simpler datadispatcher module (enable audio quality at the bottom) driven by file nb, to different audio outputs. (wouldn't work if several sounds play at the same time tho)
Thanks a lot for the tip!
I ended up using an audio dispatcher instead, and it seems to work well. It's very simple: file number out from Grain Sampler to select input of Audio Dispatch, and then just adding outputs or buses. I noticed that if I want to send the routed audio to another rack I need to create an additional Audio Bus, am I right? Also, what would have been the advantage of using a data dispatcher (or probably I didn't understand your suggestion right, I guess)?
