Hello Usiners,
I think the Track column is not necessary in Sequencer mode. The name Track is listed on the top of the patch interface panel, just Move the insert Patch button on the top of patch interface ( near name and number track). The active track is the track where one patch is selected, if no patch selected the active track is the last track active . When sequencer is running for first time the active track is track number one ( for exemple). It will be good because more space for patch on the screen.
What do you think of that ?

I understand your point of view.
Actually the 'track name' is almost empty: contains only the 'insert track' line. But this empty place will be populated soon, for example a copy of the track mixer output (like in reaper) or other info & commands concerning the current track.
If you look carefully we also need a minimum room to display commands of the ruler (next marker, snap to grid, etc) so the place couldn't be used for the time line it self.
You're suggestion leads to a more global refection about the sequencer ergonomics.
I need time for that.
