Hello everyone. I am considering a new DAW and Usine looks interesting. I am curious to hear how well Usine works for recording audio. I am a guitar player and the drums and bass (some times keyboards) are all VSTi's. I need to be able to record the guitar and vocals and was wondering if Usine is "user friendly" in the audio recording aspect. Thanks.
short answer: yes.
long answer: for post-processing audio recordings a standalone audio editor or integrated as in Cubase seems mandatory. its about processing stuff offline, like removing very short spikes - sort of stuff i do with old cooledit pro.
Usine exceels at recording stuff live and building a live recording environment that can be controlled exactly as u want it (which requires some efforts).

Unfortunately Usine is not a traditional DAW like Cubase or Reaper so it's not really made for studio recording.
