I'm migrating my rig from Bidule over to Usine to take advantage of my TouchSmart notebook. My rig includes Mobius which I use for all my looping. Mobius is sending midi clock out to Midi Yoke and then back into Usine. This was necessary to sync to Mobius clock in Bidule. I'm not seeing how to set up Usine to sync to the clock coming in on the MIDI yoke. I've only found the global settings and they don't seem to be doing it for me.
Can someone clue me in on how to setup a Usine to sync with an external clock?

Thanks in advance,
-Ty

maybe you can try the module "send midi to usine " ( in the inputs / outputs dir )
this way the out of moebius will be back in the main of Usine...?

Thanks for the quick reply.
Mobius can send to the Yoke and the Yoke shows up inside Usine as a MIDI input. I'm just not seeing how to setup an external midi clock and or assign the clock to come from the Yoke input.

is clock the same as midi time code? that's under the 'midi in' panel of the global setup. i know you used to be able to send/receive midi clock as i used to sync my monomachine with usine. i forgot how to do it since i sold it though!! sorry... hopefully someone else can tell you?

yep , go to
setup /global setup /midi in
check receive mtc
then use the patch "Receive MIDI Clock III.pat" ( in library / midi time clock )

It's been a long time since I've messed around with MIDI sync...

I've never turned on the MTC option when dealing with Usine as a MIDI clock slave. MIDI Time Code is not the same thing as MIDI Clock (+Start/Stop/Continue). MTC is (IIRC) a kind of SysEx message containing an AES/SMPTE time code (hour, mins, sec, frames).

Thanks again for the replies guys.
I found the patch. Got it work work briefly and then started to build out around it and it stopped working. Does it need to be on each track I'm syncing or just once for the workspace? Does it need to come first on the track?

I using some non 4/4 time signatures. When I want to use say 7/8 time do I need to set that in Usine? I'm not having luck using the edit window at the top.

I'm getting close to being able to use Usine. I have a few more questions which I'll place in an other topic so the next guy can find them.
Cheers,

I figured out the trick to setting the meter. It only takes the beats per measure and not the full fraction it displays. Is there any way to set the beats per bar with a fader or other control?
