Installation

Be sure to check the minimum requirements on the compatibility notes page.

Usine is a portable application so there is no system installation needed. Just unzip the downloaded file into a directory and play. Several versions of Usine can be placed on the same computer to utilize different configurations or setups and placed anywhere, for example on an USB key.

You can install your version on all your computers without restriction.

Absolutely nothing is modified on your system by Usine.

the user interface is very slow on retina displays

On recent Macs that have a built-in Retina display, the user interface of many audio applications and plug-ins can be very slow and use a lot of CPU, making them almost unusable.

The reason for the problem is the new wide gamut P3 displays.

See more info here

There is a very simple way to fix it: just change the color profile for the display and select sRGB.

update Usine

Once you have downloaded a new version on our site, unzip and open Usine. You can now retrieve your previous configuration (sound card settings, personal folder, etc.)

First open the Setup panel located in the Main Menu.

Select the setup-global and click on import settings, where you will be prompted to choose a previous version.

On PC select a folder where a previous version of Usine resides.

Once the location is selected, the previous configuration will be imported into Usine and you will be asked to restart the program.
